RCS launches new version of innovative music scheduler GSelector
White Plains, NY -- September 24, 2007– RCS has been touting its new music scheduling program GSelector as Music Scheduling Reinvented, so it is no surprise to see that they continue to reinvent with the release of GSelector Version 3.5, the latest in its ground breaking scheduling program.
This new release was the brainchild of early users and programmers who converted to GSelector and wanted to have some features and functions added to GSelector. Hundreds of PDs and MDs in the world have migrated to GSelector as their every day scheduler. Here are some of the brand new additions in GSelector 3.5:
Now in GSelector we bring you an incredibly rich world of Notes and Scripts that can be associated with any song, with any link or with any song or link attribute. This means you can have not only song notes, link notes and artist notes, but now you can have producer notes, theme notes, category notes, composer notes and many other kinds of notes as well! Another big change is GSelector notes are scheduled - they're actually placed in the log next to those elements containing the attributes with which the notes are associated. Notes can be added to or deleted from schedule positions in the Editor, and they are supported in all schedule output functions such as Reports and Export.
Other enhancements include:
• Dynamic Statistics in the Browse and Editor: calculations update immediately as you filter a browse or edit a schedule to show you the resulting change in statistics.
• Backup/Restore Enhancements: There are new options to backup the entire database or one or more individual stations.
• Filter by Research Scores and Dates: You can now filter any song browse according to dates and results of your music testing using the new research scores and research dates nodes of the filter.
• Research Attribute Cut-Off: When a research score date exceeds the designated number of days, the associated Research Score will no longer affect any related Research Attributes.
• Research Becomes Global: Research columns and research attributes are global; you can now create browse formats containing fields which can be immediately shared across stations.
• Merge Browse Lists: New option to merge the current list with an existing saved browse list.
• Spread Goal Dampening for Overdue Song or Link: Optional adjustment mechanism that gradually increases an attribute's spread score when an element is overdue to play.
• Interface with Selector XV: We've added Selector 15.1.6 as an option in the Interface | Import window, which allows you to import Songs, Links or Schedule data from a Selector XV database into GSelector.
